Season Six



1) The Return of Gus Pike ***** (Running Time 46 minutes)

While Felix is visiting Felicity, they see Gus in the marketplace with a woman. Felicity is enraged and tries to follow Gus and the lady, but loses track of them. Felicity goes to the warf and tracks Gus down and learns the truth. While talking to Felicity, Gus repeatedly sees a woman and believes her to be his deceased mother. Gus, Felicity, and Gus's “mother” travel to Avonlea, hoping that visiting will help the lady's memory return.


2) Lonely Hearts ***** (Running Time 45 minutes)

The White Sands hosts a bachelors auction and people begin planning their baskets. Felix begins to realize that Izzy is becoming a beautiful lady and hopes that she will be able to win his basket. Becky Lester wants to bid on Davy's basket, but only has a few cents. The real rivalry begins when Nat Lester's basket and Clive Pettibone's basket are actioned. The Avonlea girls want battle to win Nat's basket and Hetty and Muriel battle to win Clive's basket.


3) Christmas in June ** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Cecily makes a friend, Louie, at the sanitarium. At first she and Louie don't get along, but as time passes she becomes his friend. Cecily gets into trouble with Louie and Miss Marsden writes a letter to tell Mr. and Mrs. King that Cecily has become a troublemaker. Before Miss Marsden has a chance to send the letter, Louie burns it and accidentally sets the office on fire. Miss Marsden then cables Mr. and Mrs. King to come and talk to Cecily. While there, Louie becomes very ill and the Kings celebrate Christmas with him.


4) Fools and Kings *** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Aunt Eliza takes Daniel on a trip with her, leaving Janet with nearly an empty nest. Because she has a lot of free time, Janet decides to take a job with the ACME company. Janet doesn't know that the ACME company is a scam and no one makes money. After many adventures and trials Janet is finally able to quite the job. Meanwhile, Alec talks Felix into joining The Knights of PEI.


5)Comings and Goings *** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Sara and Nanny Louisa come for a visit. Louisa and Hetty have plans for Sara's future, but they won't listen to what Sara wants to do. Arthur Pettibone is also visiting, and gives Sara advice. When Arthur and Sara are caught together, Nanny Louisa is furious. The White Sands has hired a German health inspector to better the hotel. Because Pierre is German, he and Miss Steig do not get along.


6) The Trouble With Davey *** (Running Time 45 minutes)

As usual, Davey is getting into trouble. While he and Wiley Lester are on top of the roof, Rachel has a stroke and Davey thinks that she had it because of him. While she recuperates, Rachel goes out west to live with her son, Thomas. Hetty agrees to take care of Davey and Dora while Rachel is gone, but she has her hands full with Davey. After much struggle and strife, Hetty understands why Davey is acting the way he is.


7) Great Expectations **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Davey is doing very poorly in school and Hetty decides that if she lets Davey get a job it will teach him that school really is useful. Because Davey loves working at the cannery, Hetty's plan backfires. Jasper then takes matters into his own hands and teaches Davey things that he would learn in school.


8) A Fox Tale **** (Running Time 45 minutes) (Running Time 45 minutes)

After Felix read that a fox pelt sold for a large sum of money a get-rich-scheme forms and he decides to begin a fox farm. He asks Izzy to be his partner and Izzy agrees. In order to get a loan, Felix needs an adult co-signer. He drops Izzy as his partner and asks Nat to be his partner. Nat does little to help the business. Because Nat and Felix are unable to pay their debts, creditors come to assess the value of what they have, but when they check the building, they discover that the foxes have escaped.


9) The More Things Change **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Clive asks Muriel to marry him, and Muriel agrees. Izzy isn't sure that she wants a mother and begins being a little rude to Muriel. When Izzy learns that her father has been offered a job as school superintendent, she becomes upset because she thinks that her father is marrying Muriel so Izzy won't have to stay home alone. Because of Izzy's hesitancy, Muriel calls the wedding off.


10) Home is Where the Heart Is ****** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Rachel is well enough to travel back to Avonlea, but while she's on the train she has another stroke and this time is unable to talk. After she hears the doctors talking about her dying, she sneaks out of the hospital and travels home to Avonlea. Right before she reaches Rose Cottage she collapses and is found by Davey. Because her sons want her to be close to them, they tell Rachel that she will be moving. Rachel doesn't want to leave Avonlea, but because she can't talk, she can't tell them that.


11) What a Tangled Web We Leave * (Running Time 46 minutes)

The White Sands is holding a wedding for Pierre's sister. Pierre's mother thinks that Pierre owns the hotel and thinks that he will pay for everything. Mr. Tremayne is furious with Pierre when he learns that Pierre will not tell his mother the truth. The mother of the groom is staying in the most expensive room at the hotel, and discovers a startling secret that her butler has been hiding from her.


12.A Time To Every Purpose {aka The Calling} ***** (Running Time 46 minutes)

Felicity passes her first year of medical school and Dr. Snow giver her job for the summer. One of Felicity's jobs is checking up on her childhood friend who is expecting a baby. A ship explodes and Dr. Snow and Felicity rush to help. While helping, Dr. Snow and Felicity learn that her friend is having her baby. Dr. Snow sends Felicity ahead to the house. After a death, Felicity begins rethinking her plan to become a doctor.


13) Homecoming **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Cecily is given a clean bill of health and returns to Avonlea. Janet believes that Cecily hasn't fully recovered and makes Cecily live the same way she was in the sanatorium. The townspeople are afraid that their children will contract tuberculosis from Cecily and demand that she not return to school. Felicity tries to help Cecily, and Aunt Eliza gives Cecily some things to think about. While in town, Felicity learns some devastating news about Gus.
