The stars are what I rated the show on a six star basis.

Season Three

1) The Ties That Bind {aka The Sister of the Bride} ***** (Running Time 48 minutes)

Hetty is convinced that Olivia is unable to plans for the wedding and changes the simple family wedding to “invite everyone we know” wedding. Because Jasper is shy, Olivia decides that they should elope, but they are unsuccessful. Janet becomes angry with Alec because she has to do everything and Alec temporarily moves out of the house. The day of the wedding Olivia is a wreck because Alec takes a while before bringing the wedding dress and when the dress does arrive it is sizes to big.

2) Felix and Blackie *** (Running Time: 44 minutes)

After Alec buys a new horse he decides to sell Blackie. Felix becomes extremely upset and begs Alec to let him keep Blackie. Alec agrees to letting Felix keep Blackie on the condition that he has to pay for Blackie's upkeep. Felix then makes a delivery service and hires Sara, Cecily, and Blackie. Felix does a poor job and quickly looses all of his customers. In an attempt to make it look like his business is doing fine he accepts a wager that ends with a disaster.

3) Another Point of View {aka Facts and Fiction} (aka All the Worlds a Stage) ****** (Running Time 48 minutes)

Hetty receives what she thinks unfair remarks about her teaching techniques and quits teaching. After days of interviewing candidates, Alistair Dimple arrives in Avonlea and pleases the members of the school board. Alistair helps the children study for the history bee by letting the students relive the events by acting them out. Meanwhile, Alec is trying to get Alistair's credits and eventually receives the shocking credentials through Olivia.

4) But When She Was Bad... She Was Horrid {part one} **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Sara is weary of Hetty's constant nagging and switches places with her “twin” Jo Pitts. After Gus receives a letter informing him Captain Crane wanted to see him, Gus travels to the main land- taking Sara with him. Back in Avonlea, Jo is pretending to be Sara and isn't doing the best job. When Sara and Gus arrive at The Raven, Gus is kidnapped, but lets Sara escape.


5) But When She Was Bad... She Was Horrid {part two} **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Jo Pitts is doing a horrible job pretending to be Sara, and the the Kings begin to think she is possessed. Jo becomes tired of Hetty and “drowns” her. Sara is captured and is mistaken to be Jo Pitts. Gus finally relents into telling their captures where Captain Crane is. While on the boat he and Sara manage to escape. When Sara returns to Rose Cottage she finds the house destroyed and a dripping Hetty. Gus stops Jo and brings her back to Rose Cottage. After much bickering Jo is offered a home at Rose Cottage.

6) Aunt Janet's Rebellion *** (Running Time 44 minutes)

A suffragist movement comes to Avonlea and Janet decides to petition for women being able to vote. Her passion in getting the vote brings trouble at McCorkidale's cannery. Her trying to get Mr. McCorkidale to raise wages causes a “riot” and Janet is put in jail.

7) A Dark and Stormy Night ****** (Running Time 46 minutes)

Gus is awakened when a person enters the lighthouse and hides the girl. A man, Robert Rutherford, storms in, looking for the girl, Amanda Stone. Once Robert leaves, Gus helps Amanda out. Amanda leaves jewels with Gus and Gus takes them to Hetty. Hetty takes them to get appraised and then puts them in the safe at the post office. Amanda, who wants the stones back, breaks into the safe and discovers that they're missing. Rutherford captures Amanda and tells Gus that is he doesn't return the jewels that he will kill Amanda.

8) Friends and Relations *** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Janet, Abigail, Olivia, and Hetty spend a day and an auction. Things go fine until Abigail begins criticizing Janet. Alec, Jasper, and Felix go ice fishing. While fishing Alec and Jasper tell stories of the past- which ends with Alec jumping into the fishing hole. Because of a dare with Sara, Felix is trying to find about “life” and “men and women together.” Jasper tries to help Felix out, but is stumped when Felix tells him that “he wants to know what he doesn't know, but he doesn't know what he knows.” Meanwhile, Felicity, Cecily, and Sara are watching Daniel and the bratty Lucky. In desperation for peace and quiet, Felicity and Sara tie Lucky to the clothesline. However, Lucky escapes and Felicity and Sara walk in the woods durning a blizzard to find him.

9) Vows of Silence {aka True Confessions} **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

The new minister, Reverend Fitzsimmons, scares the King children into believe that “the end is nae.” Felicity loses Janet's heirloom comb and doesn't tell Janet. Janet thinks that she has lost the comb, and Alec, Olivia, and Hetty begin asking Janet why she isn't wearing it. Felicity feels responsible for injuring her parents' marriage, and Felix does little to help Felicity feel better. In desperation Janet has a duplicate comb made and wears it to church- and Alec, Hetty, and Olivia realize why Janet had put off wearing it. The children learn from Peg that a lunar eclipse will take place and that if evil over balances the good that it will be the end of the world. The kids go to the lighthouse to do their confessing- which nearly causes Felicity to kill Felix.

10) After the Honeymoon *** (Running Time 45 minutes)

A woman scientist comes to Avonlea to help Jasper in his study of bats. Olivia feels left out and Hetty helps Olivia learn scientific terms, but Jasper doesn't seem to notice. Felix, who has been reading Dracula, is convinced that Sidney Carter, the scientist, is a vampire.

11) The Calamitous Courting of Hetty King * (Running Time 45 minutes)

Wally Higgins, a traveling ice skate salesman, visits Avonlea. When Rachel asks Wally why a man like him isn't married her tells her that he's “looking for the woman with the perfect tootsies.” He discovers that Hetty has the perfect sized “tootsie wootsies” and begins courting her. Wellington Campbell has decided that part of the King land is his property and begins destroyed a fence. Hetty accidentally breaks Mr. Campbell's thumb and is sued. Felicity is miffed because Gus hasn't asked her to the skating party.

12) High Society *** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Because of her excellent grades, Felicity is invited to Kingsport Ladies College and is one of three girls that may receive a scholarship. Felicity feels intimidated by the other candidates life and pretends to be Sara's sister. Since “good breeding and manners” are important, Gus determines to learn them from the new White Sands chef. When Felicity returns to Avonlea, she looks down upon Gus. When Sara learns what Felicity has done, she tries to talk Felicity into telling her parents what she has done.

13) Old Friends, Old Wounds **** (Running Time 45 minutes)

Marilla Cuthbert dies and mayhem begins when it is discovered that there is no will. The people of Avonlea assume that Anne would inherit Green Gables, but lawyer Theodore Simpkin tells them that the house must be bought. Gilbert comes to Avonlea and with the help of the townspeople he is able to buy Green Gables. When he tries to buy the house, he is too late and the house is bought by a neighbor whom Rachel doesn't get along with and leaves Rachel, Davy, and Dora homeless.
